Handling and Opening:
- Ensure hands are clean and dry before handling the dental film.
- Open the film packet carefully to avoid damage. The packet features an embossed dot in the top corner, indicating the side facing the radiation source (front side).
Exposure:
- Position the marked side (front side) of the film toward the patient's area requiring imaging.
- Follow your standard X-ray procedure for positioning and exposure.
Processing:
- After exposure, the film can be processed either manually or in automatic processors.
- For manual processing, use a darkroom with indirect dark-red or olive-green safelight.
- Employ any liquid high-quality trademarked chemicals for processing. Do not use tablet or powder chemicals for optimal results.
Safety and Disinfection:
- The film's envelope is disinfectable with common disinfectants. Ensure proper disinfection procedures are followed.
- Handle the film with care, and avoid unnecessary exposure to light.
Lead Foil Recognition:
