Dentsply Palodent V3 Intro Kit Sectional Matrix System
The Palodent V3 Sectional Matrix System ensures precise and reliable dental restorations with stable nickel-titanium rings that hold matrix bands securely in place. Its anatomically shaped bands replicate natural tooth contours, while adaptive wedges prevent leakage. The system’s integrated workflow boosts efficiency, accuracy, and patient comfort, saving valuable chair time.
Features:
- Accurate Contacts: Poor contact creation can lead to fractures, food impaction, gingival inflammation, and recurrent caries. The Palodent V3 nickel-titanium rings deliver consistent separation force on molars and premolars, ensuring the anatomically shaped matrix forms a predictable and precise contact every time.
- Tight Seal: For resin-based restorations, isolation is key. The Palodent V3 ring, along with the matrix and wedges, creates a tight seal around the restorative field, enabling the clinician to proceed confidently.
- Enhanced Efficiency: The system's components work together to minimize flash, reduce finishing time, and lower the risk of redoing restorations due to poor contact. It also supports multiple restorations simultaneously, while the Wedge Guard protects adjacent teeth during cavity preparation.
- Stress-Free Class II Restorations: When paired with SDR® (Smart Dentin Replacement), Palodent V3 streamlines class II restorative procedures, ensuring faster, stress-free, and optimal results.

- Select the Matrix Band: Choose the appropriate size and shape based on the tooth and desired contour.
- Position the Matrix Band: Place it around the tooth, ensuring a snug fit that adapts to the natural anatomy.
- Secure with Retaining Ring: Use the nickel-titanium retaining ring to firmly hold the matrix band in place, preventing movement during the procedure.
- Insert Wedges: Place the adaptive, self-guiding wedges into the interproximal space to create a tight seal and ensure proper isolation.
- Perform the Restoration: Follow standard protocols for composite resin placement or amalgam filling.
- Remove the Wedges: Gently twist and slide out the wedges once the restoration is complete.
- Release the Retaining Ring: Carefully press and rotate the ring to loosen it, then remove the matrix band smoothly.
- Evaluate the Restoration: Check for proper contact and contour, making adjustments if necessary.
- Clean and Store: Disinfect the Palodent V3 components according to guidelines before reuse or storage.
