- Select the Matrix Band: Choose the appropriate size and shape based on the tooth and desired contour.
- Position the Matrix Band: Place it around the tooth, ensuring a snug fit that adapts to the natural anatomy.
- Secure with Retaining Ring: Use the nickel-titanium retaining ring to firmly hold the matrix band in place, preventing movement during the procedure.
- Insert Wedges: Place the adaptive, self-guiding wedges into the interproximal space to create a tight seal and ensure proper isolation.
- Perform the Restoration: Follow standard protocols for composite resin placement or amalgam filling.
- Remove the Wedges: Gently twist and slide out the wedges once the restoration is complete.
- Release the Retaining Ring: Carefully press and rotate the ring to loosen it, then remove the matrix band smoothly.
- Evaluate the Restoration: Check for proper contact and contour, making adjustments if necessary.
- Clean and Store: Disinfect the Palodent V3 components according to guidelines before reuse or storage.
