- Prepare the Environment: Ensure the operatory is equipped with all necessary tools. Sterilize the Obtura Pro system components, including the gun and tips, and ready the Gutta-Percha material.
- Patient Preparation: Seat the patient comfortably, administer local anesthesia, and isolate the tooth with a rubber dam.
- Select the Temperature: Set the Obtura Pro system to the appropriate temperature for the Gutta-Percha (typically 160°C to 230°C).
- Load the Obturation Gun: Place a Gutta-Percha pellet into the heating chamber of the gun.
- Position the Needle: Adjust the needle to the desired angle for precise canal placement.
- Extrude Gutta-Percha: Slowly squeeze the trigger to release the heated Gutta-Percha, filling the canal incrementally while withdrawing the needle.
- Verify the Seal: Use radiographs to check for a complete seal and make adjustments if needed.
- Complete the Procedure: Finish the root canal process with coronal sealing and restoration.
- Clean and Sterilize: Thoroughly clean and sterilize the Obtura Pro system components after use.
