Directions to Use

1. Loading the Paste Pak Cartridge

a. Ensure the piston is fully retracted into the dispenser.

Note: To retract the piston, grip both the slide block and release lever (located on the underside of the dispenser) with your fingers and pull them back together.

b. Load the cartridge into the Paste Pak Dispenser.

  1. Align the mark on the cartridge with the mark on the Paste Pak Dispenser as shown.
  2. Turn the cartridge fully to the right position.

Note: To remove the cartridge, retract the piston completely and turn the cartridge back to the marked position.

c. After loading the cartridge, slide the release lever forward until it stops.

  1. Push the front of the release lever.
  2. Do not push the upper side.

2. Dispensing

a. Remove the cartridge cover.

b. Press the lever to dispense the required amount of paste onto the mixing pad.

Note:

  1. Before dispensing material from a new cartridge or after a long interval, bleed the pastes to prevent air bubbles.
  2. The finger grip can be moved forward or backward to adjust the amount of material dispensed.

c. While pressing the lever, level and cut off the extruded material from the cartridge tips by moving the cartridge and dispenser to an upright position on the mixing pad.

  1. Level and cut off material.
  2. Depress the lever. When the lever is released after dispensing, residual pastes at the tips are retracted into the cartridge. Replace the cartridge cover.

Note:

  1. If surplus paste remains on the cartridge tips after dispensing, remove it with gauze or similar material.
  2. The amount of residual material in the cartridge can be checked by the position of the slide block on the underside of the dispenser. The translucent tips of the cartridge also allow the position of the inner plunger to be seen.
  3. Do not drop the dispenser with the cartridge, as it may cause damage.

3. Mixing

After dispensing, spread the material in a thin layer on the mixing pad using a plastic spatula. Mix thoroughly with lapping strokes for 10 seconds, avoiding the incorporation of air bubbles.

Note:

  1. The two pastes are similar in color, so mix carefully. When a larger amount is needed for 2-4 crowns, mix for 15 seconds.
  2. The working time is 3 minutes from the start of mixing at 23°C (73.4°F). Higher temperatures will shorten the working time.
  3. Do not mix GC FujiCEM pastes with other materials.
