Compositions:
- Tricalcium Silicate (Ca3SiO5): Tricalcium silicate is the primary ingredient of MTA. It is responsible for the hydraulic properties of MTA, allowing it to set and harden when mixed with water. Tricalcium silicate also contributes to the biocompatibility and bioactivity of MTA.

Waldent SealPro MTA (Mineral Trioxide Aggregate), is a dental material commonly used in endodontics for various procedures, such as root canal treatments. It's known for its biocompatibility and sealing properties. Waldent seal pro MTA typically comes in a powdered form, and when mixed with a liquid, it forms a paste-like consistency that can be applied to dental procedures. It's used for tasks like pulp capping, repairing root perforations, and sealing the root canal system.
Indications:
Pulp Capping: MTA is commonly used for pulp capping procedures. When there's an exposure of dental pulp due to caries or trauma, MTA can be applied to encourage pulp healing and protect it from further damage.
Apexification: MTA is used to promote the formation of a calcified barrier at the root tip (apex) in immature teeth with open apices. This helps in sealing off the root canal system.
Perforation Repair: MTA is excellent for repairing root perforations, which can occur during root canal treatment. It seals the perforation site and prevents the spread of infection.
Root-End Surgery: During surgeries like apicoectomy (removal of the tooth's apex), MTA is used to seal the root-end, preventing any further infection or complications.
Sealing Root Canals: MTA is used as a root canal sealer. It provides a hermetic seal, preventing the reinfection of the treated tooth.
