- Banding: Band with tube is selected by trial fitting. A band pusher and band adapter is use to fit and adapt the band around the tooth.
- Select & Adjust Space Component: A wire component is selected to act as the spacer, straight and curved loop for band and loop space maintainer and the distal shoe for distal shoe space maintainer cases.
- Insert Space Component & Check Fit: Slide the wire in the tube of the band. Place the band on the tooth and check if the space maintainer is fitting properly with space component resting on the supporting tooth.
- Crimping band tube and space component: Keep e-crimper at the centre of the tube and do partial crimping intraorally. Remove the space maintainer and do final crimping extraorally.
- Cementation: Clean and dry the band. Isolate and dry the tooth. Mix luting cement and apply on the inner surface of the band. Seat the band on the tooth using band pusher or band adapter. Remove excess cement after cement sets.
