Preparation:
- Ensure the device's battery is adequately charged.
- Prepare the root canal according to standard protocols.
Select Master Cone:
- Choose an appropriate master cone and place it into the prepared root canal.
- Check for the "Tug-back" sensation to confirm proper fit.
EQ-V Fill Usage:
- Attach the EQ-V Fill component.
- Insert the pack tip into the root canal, positioning it 5mm shorter than the working length.
- Apply ADSEAL (root canal sealer) to the end of the master cone and insert it into the canal.
Heating and Compacting:
- Use the EQ-V Pack tip to cut the upper part of the master cone with heated EQ-V Pack tip.
- Compact the softened gutta-percha down with a condenser.
- Activate the pack tip while inserting it 2mm short of the reference point.
- Once the pack tip is activated, stop and gently push it using residual heat. Hold for 10 seconds to cool it down.
Further Compaction:
- With residual heat, condense the gutta-percha up to the reference point.
- Activate the pack tip for 1 second to release any remaining heat.
- Quickly remove the device, leaving gutta-percha only from the apex to 5mm.
Apical Compaction:
- Compact the remaining gutta-percha in the apical part using a condenser.
EQ-V Fill Cartridge:
- Insert the GP bar into the EQ-V Fill device.
- Set the desired temperature.
Injection of GP:
- Before injecting the needle into the canal, check if melted gutta-percha is coming out of the needle.
- Place the EQ-V Fill cartridge tip right upon the gutta-percha in the apical part.
- Inject melted gutta-percha by pulling the trigger around 3mm.
Post-Injection Compaction:
- Immediately after finishing the injection of gutta-percha, compact it with an EQ Condenser.
Repeat Steps:
- Repeat steps 8 and 9 until the root canal is fully obturated.
Procedure Completion:
- Ensure proper obturation and sealing of the root canal.
Safety and Maintenance:
- Turn off the device and properly clean and disinfect all components.
- Remove the Li-ion battery for separate disinfection.
