The synthetic non-absorbable surgical sutures COROLENE® are composed of an isotactic polypropylene monofilament, with or without PLEDGET or stop points of different sizes. COROLENE® sutures are white dyed with Titanium dioxide (CI 77891) or blue dyed with copper Phthalocyanine (CI 74160) to enhance visibility. COROLENE® sutures comply with the requirements of the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) and the European Pharmacopoeia (EP) for non- absorbable surgical sutures. COROLENE® sutures elicit a minimal acute inflammatory reaction in tissues, which is followed by gradual encapsulation of the suture by fibrous connective tissue. The synthetic non-absorbable surgical sutures COROLENE® are available in various lengths, diameters (USP/EP) and quantities with surgical needles.
