Preparation:
- Make sure the area to be examined is clean and thoroughly dried.
- Shake the bottle well to ensure the solution is evenly mixed.
Application:
- Using an applicator brush or microbrush, apply a thin, even layer of the solution to the target area.
- Ensure full coverage for optimal detection results.
Reaction Time:
- Allow the solution to remain on the surface for approximately 10 seconds to effectively stain carious or demineralized tissue.
Rinsing:
- Rinse the treated area thoroughly with water to remove the dye.
- Use a suction device to assist in eliminating any remaining liquid.
Evaluation:
- Inspect the area for bright red staining, which indicates carious dentin.
