- Place Matrix: Position the matrix around the tooth to ensure it contours correctly and contacts adjacent teeth.
- Choose & Insert the Ring: Select the Hard or Soft ring based on the separation force needed. Ensure the clamp is fully inserted into the pliers before applying.
- Apply the Ring: Use forceps to place the ring over the matrix, pressing your finger on the ring as you remove the pliers to ensure secure placement.
- Protect the Papilla: Take precautions to prevent injury to the papilla during the procedure.
- Proceed with Restoration: Perform the restorative procedure, ensuring proper contact point reconstruction.
- Remove Ring & Matrix: After restoration, carefully remove the ring and matrix, then finish polishing. Avoid leaving the ring on the pliers too long.
