Sure Endo Sure Cord Knitted Retraction Cord
SureEndo Sure Cord is perfect for mechanical gingival retraction, easily fitting into the gingival sulcus to enhance the quality of impressions and restorations.
The Sure Cord is made from 100% cotton and is not pre-impregnated with a hemostatic agent. Its knitted structure allows it to absorb hemostatic solutions effectively, staying securely in the periodontal groove during tooth preparation and is easily removed without fraying.

The stainless steel trimmer blade inside the cap cuts the thread automatically when the container is closed, preventing the cut end from falling back inside. Color coding helps quickly select the appropriate thread size and ensures complete removal from the gingival sulcus.

- Select the appropriate size: Sure Endo Sure Cord comes in different sizes, so it's important to choose the size that fits best in the space between the teeth.
- Clean and dry the area: Make sure the area where the cord will be placed is clean and dry.
- Apply hemostatic solution (optional): If bleeding is present, apply a hemostatic solution to the area to control bleeding.
- Insert the cord: Using a cord packer or similar instrument, gently insert the cord into the space between the teeth. Be careful not to damage the gum tissue or the tooth.
- Pack the cord tightly: Once the cord is in place, pack it tightly to ensure good retraction. You may need to use more than one cord to achieve the desired retraction.
- Leave the cord in place: The cord should be left in place for several minutes to allow for tissue retraction. During this time, you can perform other steps of the procedure.
- Remove the cord: After the desired retraction is achieved, carefully remove the cord using a cord-removal instrument or dental floss.
