Powder Loading:
- Connect the Dental Air Polisher.
- Unscrew the powder storage chamber cover.
- Add powder to the chamber, clearing any excess powder from the threads.
- Tighten the cover securely.
Supragingival Air Polishing:
- After loading the powder, perform a 1-3 second spray outside the oral cavity to ensure even air and water flow.
- Hold the handpiece in a pen-holding position.
- Maintain a distance of 3-5mm between the spray-head air outlet and the tooth surface.
- Angle the air polishing direction at 30-60° with the tooth surface.
Subgingival Air Polishing:
- Install an accessory nozzle by screwing it to the top of the subgingival handpiece and tightening it with a wrench.
- After loading the powder, perform a 1-3 second spray outside the oral cavity to ensure even air and water flow.
- Hold the handpiece in a pen-holding position.
- Use the subgingival handpiece with a nozzle to remove biofilm in the periodontal pocket at subgingival depths of 4-9mm, using up and down motions for scaling.
- Limit air-polishing time in each periodontal pocket to no more than 5 seconds.
- Ensure the handpiece has normal water flow before use.
- Adjust water flow and air pressure based on the condition of biofilm or pigment during scaling.
- Avoid spending too much time on localized air polishing during scaling.
